Villa in the Woods of Soest by Zecc Architects
Dutch firm Zecc Architects has designed a villa in the woods of Soest, The Netherlands. The main theme of the house is the spatial connection between the three floor. There is an empty space or void between the basement and the second floor which provides a view directly into the garden. House functions such as toilet, wardrobe and closets are connected to the void. The parapet around the void continues smoothly into these functional spaces, creating a sculptural link between the three floors.
