Shelter ByGG by Gabriela Gomes
Portuguese designer Gabriela Gomes has created the Shelter ByGG. It is a design project which proposes the creation of a habitable sculptural module installed on a public space. The living module will have one double room with integrated WC. According to the designer, “This is an experimental object which combines sculpture, design and architecture, defying new experiences with space and questioning relations of artistic enjoyment and habitation issues. Therefore, “Shelter ByGG” gathers plastic concepts with functionality and sustainability from one space only, something like a “cocoon/bedroom”
With this project is expected an artistic manifestation that provides an innovative and unexpected experience as an accommodation space, associated to eco-sustainable solutions and mobility.
In its construction and functioning, the environmental concerns can be seen, mainly on: the sustainability, by using non-polluting and recycled materials and on the energetic ecoefficiency, using solar energy.”
