Waiatarua House by Hamish Monk Architecture
New Zealand based practice Hamish Monk Architecture have designed Waiatarua House in Auckland. Built for a couple in their mid-sixties, the house is situated on a steep site in a bush clad creek gully. The exterior is clad with black stained timber in contrast with the veil of green foliage provided by the surrounding trees. The interior walls and ceiling are covered with American Oak.
