Awesome Airbnb offices in Dublin
Our favorite online travel service “Airbnb” recently opened its doors to the new European labor facility in Dublin, Ireland. The 2000 square meters interior was designed by the architectural studio “Heneghan Peng Architects”. It was designed to reflect the character of the company: open, sociable, with a comfortable atmosphere.
The administrative offices of “Airbnb” are combined offices. The whole space is open but there are also closed capsules designed as private offices and meeting rooms. Each of the private offices look like small houses made from oriented strand board and offer privacy, but at the same time they are open to the workspace without isolating the employees.
The dynamic and flexible working environment consists of offices, conference rooms, main meeting hall, relaxing auditorium, horseshoe-shaped bar and Irish payphones.
An interesting element is the long bench “Shifting Grounds”, designed for Ireland’s Venice Biennale pavilion in 2012. The 12-meter composition dips and rises as users sit on different sections. This way a maximum interaction among employees is achieved. The space can be transformed from a formal into informal and relaxing place with elements that allow employees to feel like they are at home.
