Dutch designer Robert van Embricqs has created the Rising Table. The concept of the table is a part of the Rising...furniture formula which finds its roots in the Rising Chair we featured here before. The design is based on a rather simple idea of starting with a flat surface that is capable of transforming into a piece of stylishly designed furniture. Check out the pictures.

Designer Christian Dorn of German design studio STILTREU has created the Ova Easy Chair. The simple design of the chair is composed of two powder-coated steel frames and a cushion. According to the designer, "The idea is to design a timeless piece of furniture with transient smooth shape from simple, soft geometry. The focus is equally supposed to be on convenience and seating comfort.

Designers Elin Carlsten and Elisabeth Thostrup have created the Reel Cabinet. The cabinet design is inspired by the old barn sliding doors. The metal sliding doors are suspended from the large wheels mounted on a track. The Reel Cabinet was on display at the Stockholm Furniture Fair 2012.

Mound of Rounds is a modular furniture system designed by Vancouver-based studio Cumulus Project. When not in use, you can convert the furniture system into a sculptural object by tucking it into a corner. When needed, it converts into a flexible seating arrangement for dinner, drinks or even a nap.
Endy Stool by Studio Ve

Designers Shay Carmon and Ben Klinger of Israeli design firm Studio Ve have created the Endy Stool. The stool is entirely made from discarded timber end pieces from sawmills. According to the designers, "The timber's ends are the most sensitive areas of the timber. In order to protect and seal it, they are painted in sawmills, thus preventing the appearance of splits in the wood. These colored ends are usually removed and discarded afterwards, so the end user is not aware of them.

Brooklyn-based engineering boutique RockPaperRobot has created the Float Table. The unique table is made of 64 magnetically levitating cubes held in equilibrium by a system of tensile steel cables. Check out the pictures.

New Zealand-based industrial designer Hamish Tennent has created the Rocker Stool concept. According to the designer, "Designed to evoke a playful reaction, rocker stool is a low seat that invites the user to investigate it. Black sand is placed inside the stool so when the user stands up the stool remains tilted to the last angle.
