New York-based independent brand GeekCook has designed the DIY Cable Organizer. Inspired by the AT-AT walker of Star Wars, the cable organizer provides a clever solution to organize the cables and wires in office or work area while retaining aesthetics. It also has a small storage space for business cards and other small items. It is made from high grade plywood and basswood.

The Fossil Lamp by Neil Conley

Designer Neil Conley from Manchester UK has created The Fossil Lamp. The lamp is made from amberized borosilicate glass. It contains three metal connectors, a filament bulb and a touch sensitive dimmer switch. According to the designer, "Intended as living museum piece, the lamp is a preservation of Thomas Edition's first truly reliable bulb, invented circa 1880. Resembling a fossil preserved in amber, the lamp demonstrates the transition of the filament from an object of fundamental functionality, to its place today as an icon of design heritage. A representation of the beauty of innovation, the bulb is now retired to a life behind glass, as a true industrial fossil.

Nepa Lamp by Giles Godwin-Brown

Nepa Lamp is a unique two-dimensional lamp silhouette that seamlessly transforms into a fully functioning three-dimensional task lamp. Created by designer Giles Godwin-Brown, the lamp is made from birch plywood with stainless steel and aluminium detailing. According to the designer, "Inspiration was taken from previous classics of the lighting industry combined with my fundamental design principles that require my products to be in their most simple form, whilst always ensuring this does not inhibit their intended function."

Mantis Lamp by Böttcher+Henssler

Mantis is a simple desk lamp created by Berlin-based studio Böttcher+Henssler for Slovenian lighting company Vertigo Bird. The lamp is made from lightly stained maple and coated aluminum. the height of the lamp can be adjusted by simply moving the aluminum tube through a hole in the base. According to the designers, "In its symbiosis of clear lines, the natural character of the wood, the colourful accent of the textile cable and coated aluminum tube, MANTIS is a timeless piece to compliment any modern home or office interior."

New York-based design studio Ryan Harc has created the Light within Light. It is a floor lamp inspired by the traditional sliding doors in Korean homes. The lamp consists multiple panels repeated inside which make rooms and express depth of light.

W&M Lamp by Maxim Maximov

Russian designer Maxim Maximov has created the W&M Lamp. The W&M stands for Wood and Metal. The lamp is composed of a solid wood base and a flat metal body. The untreated and natural finish of the wooden based creates a contrast with the metal body. In designer's words, "This is a kind story about a friendship between materials.."

Spotlight Volumes by Lukas Peet

Canadian designer Lukas Peet has created a new lighting collection called Spotlight Volumes. As the name indicates, the lighting series is inspired by spotlights. The pendant lights have an energy efficient CFL bulb on both ends; one illuminating the ceiling and the other the floor. The lighting collection is currently on display at the imm cologne 2012 as a part of [D3] Design Talents.

Skog Lamps by Caroline Olsson for Magnor Glassverk

Norwegian designer Caroline Olsson has created the Skog lamps in collaboration with Magnor Glassverk. The lighting collection consists several lamps in different sizes, shapes and colors. The lamps are made in mouth-blown crystal glass with a base in oak made by using the technique of wood turning.
