Japanese architect Takao Shiotsuka has designed the Cloudy House. It is a two-storey, private residence located in the residential suburbs of Oita-city, Japan. The house is surrounded by other low-lying houses and farmlands. By using site's flow of light and wind, the architect has created a living space that is open to its surrounding environment. The unique feature of the house is the tunnel-like passageway that runs through the spine of the house. The iconic gable roof has a open air terrace.

Japanese architect Yoritaka Hayashi has designed the House in Nakameguro in Meguro, Tokyo, Japan. Following is a description from the architect, "This is a small house standing in a small site in center of the city. Most newly-built houses around the site are being converted to three stories buildings. Planning a four stories with the same volume of three stories buildings allows different perspective which enables this house to have an open interior space. Treating furniture as an extension of the building gives the space suitable scale and enables us to use the space effectively."

Four Eyes House is a weekend desert residence designed by American studio Edward Ogosta Architecture. Designed for a family and their dog, the house is an exercise in site-specific experiential programming. According to the architects, "Rather than planning the house according to a domestic functional program, the building was designed foremost as an instrument for intensifying a number of onsite phenomenal events.

Norwegian architectural studio JVA has renovated the Oslo's oldest bookstore Tanum Karl Johan located on the city's main street. The project involved the full renovation which means completely tearing down the old interior and designing a new one. Following is a description from the architects, "From having several floor levels, the store reappeared with all functions on one floor with a stronger visual relationship to the street and more rough materials to emphasize the physical appearance of the book.

Mexico City-based architectural practice PRODUCTORA has designed the House in Chihuahua. Located in the desert like northern region of Mexico, the house is a part of a golf club community. Following is a description from the architects, "The dwelling was designed to accommodate the special climatic circumstances of the area, since the differences between day time and night time temperatures can vary by as much as twenty degrees. To balance these extreme temperature differences, we partially buried the house into the mountain slope to take advantage of the soil’s thermal mass.

Czech architectural studio OV-A has designed the Family House In Kraluv Dvur. It is a single-story house built for a family of five. The central living space of the house is situated between three blocks of rooms and gradually transcends from interior to exterior. The house is wrapped in a translucent shawl composed of functioning window shutters.

With a sculptural form, the pavilion establishes a dialogue with the surrounding play area and amphitheatre. Here is a description from the architects, "It is designed to compliment the proposals for the surrounding landscape design and regeneration of the park - adressing the human scale and the unfolding of the pavilion as an event in the park.
