Rose Siedler House, the architectural pearl of Harry Siedler in Sydney

Rose Siedler House is considered one of the architectural pearls of Sydney. The Bauhaus style house is a project by the renowned Australian architect Harry Siedler in 1950 as a home for his parents. The outstanding architectural structure has, since then, proudly stood as a symbol of Australian modern architecture in the mid-20th century.

Rose Siedler House features architectural, artistic and technological features that in the mid-20th century represented a radical and bold move. Hence, Rose Siedler House, with its unique characteristic design, defined the architectural style of Siedler and at the same time represented a vision of the new way of housing in Australia.

Sidler’s family nest, located in the scenic Sydney landscape, embraced by the natural beauties of the Ku-Ring-gai Chase National Park, today is a museum house open to public visits every week.
