Norwegian architectural firm Jarmund/Vigsnæs has designed a small cabin in Risør, Norway. Located at a windswept peninsula, the 100m² cabin replaces an older structure from the 50’s. According to the architects, “The volumetric composition is dictated by the old structure and the slope of the site, together with a wish to create quiet nooks protected from the wind. The interior is finished with a polished concrete floor close to the granite in color and experiential quality. Walls are clad in oak. The zink clad exterior echoes the color of the granite site.”
