Japanese architect Takao Shiotsuka has designed the Cloudy House. It is a two-storey, private residence located in the residential suburbs of Oita-city, Japan. The house is surrounded by other low-lying houses and farmlands. By using site’s flow of light and wind, the architect has created a living space that is open to its surrounding environment. The unique feature of the house is the tunnel-like passageway that runs through the spine of the house. The iconic gable roof has a open air terrace.
