Community Pavilion at Jintao Village by Scenic Architecture

Chinese practice Scenic Architecture have designed a community pavilion at Jintao village, Malu, Jiading. The hexagonal building is located on a public property surrounded by river and bamboo. The public pavilion provides space for village residents to rest, communicate and have recreational activities.

The pavilion contains three interior spaces, a recreation room, a teahouse and a stage facing the grain-sunny ground and three semi-outdoor spaces: the concrete bridge to the northwest, the river cross to the southwest, and the little stone bridge to the southeast. These six spaces are defined by six radial bearing walls, and surround a courtyard that serves as the center of the pavilion.
