A team of students from Tongji University, Shanghai, China designed an eco-friendly Bamboo house with solar power. The design consists of one bedroom and one living room with all the amenities. The solar energy system for the building is designed to sustain the daily life for 3 to 6 students. The house features two curved roofs and a sun-facing wall which are clad with photovoltaic panels to generate solar energy. The interior of the house features an innovative wall covering, which utilizes phase changing materials to heat and cool the house. The house was designed for Europe Solar Decathlon Competition 2010.
