Italian practice act_romegialli have converted an old garage of a weekend retreat into a small green shelter. The “Green box” is situated on the slopes of the Raethian Alps. The structure is realised with lightweight metal galvanized profiles and steel wires while retaining the rustic stone walls and columns of the old building. The structure with steel wires provides tridimensional support for the climbing vegetation.
Interior of the Green box garden pavilion is divided into multiple areas, a room for gardening tools, a cooking area and a space for entertaining family, friends and guests. The materials used for building are rough, simple and untreated; galvanized steel for the kitchen, larch planks for flooring and big sliding doors, windows in unpainted galvanized steel, simple pipes for the water supply.
