Japanese architectural studio Stands Architects has designed the House O in Mie, Japan. Built for a Mini Cooper-loving husband and a sports-loving wife, the house has a built-in garage that can be viewed and accessed from the interior. The car park serves as the physical extension of the road, a glass partition makes a boundary between indoor and outdoor. The layout of the house is organised in a spiral form with bedroom and bathroom nestled in behind the courtyard and the kitchen and living area opening up around the garage.
