New York-based architectural practice Fractal Construction LLC has designed the Hudson Valley Country House in upstate New York. The house is built from prefabricated parts, bolted together and clad in an envelope of soft wood panels. The house consists two structures; a main living structure and a garage, both connected by a sculptural bridge.
The main building is a three-level structure with an art studio and children’s playroom in the basement. The mostly open-plan ground floor has space for kitchen, dining and living area and an office. In the upstairs, there are three bedroom and three bathrooms as well as a study room and a sweeping terrace with mountain views. The garage offers parking space for two cars and also has a top floor which provides space for meditation and yoga.
