Bangalore-based practice Architecture Paradigm have designed the Myra School of Business in Mysore, India. From the architects, “The design for the management institute explores the potential of the rolling terrain on the outskirts of Mysore to create spaces that facilitates a participative and learning environment. The institution is visualized as an ensemble of rock like forms jutting out of the landscape. A terrain marked by boulders is a common landscape feature along the Mysore Bangalore highway. The primordial quality of the boulders is translated into the institution wherein landscape and architecture are fused to create provocative identities for students and teachers alike. This we believe lends to the creation of memories centering on the idea of place, teaching and growing which are essential to the notion of an institution”
