Designed by Portuguese architect Nuno Ribeiro Lopes, this visitor center is built over the old existing building in Azores to accommodate the increased interest in the area. This building is used as visitor center and serves as the information center for travelers about sulfur cavern in the area. The visitor center has two levels. The bottom level has bathrooms and exhibition area, while the second floor has observatory for the landscape. The old car park in front of the building is converted into living room. The glass construction of the observatory is built above the water and is surrounded by natural craters. No doubt this building will be another tourist attraction point beside the sulfur cavern. Check out the pictures of this spectacular glass construction.
