Japanese architect Yuusuke Karasawa has designed the Villa Kanousan. The weekend cottage is situated within the deep mountain area of Bousou Peninsula in Kimitsu city, Chiba, Japan. The exterior shape of the building is a simple cube with window openings. The interior consists of two layers with a cubic volume inserted to the points of intersection produced by the walls, floor and ceiling surfaces. The interior is very airy and bright with light coming from the toplight on the ceiling.
