Designed by Berlin based architects Gtaft Lab, this zero-energy house in KualaLampur is called Bird Island. This house is designed with eco friendly bamboo frame wrapped in a sustainably sourced silicon glass fabric which lets the structure change with the wind, giving residents a constantly changing bird’s eye-view of the sky. Along with looking cool, this modern architecture building reflects sunlight and prevents heat absorption to interiors, passively keeping the house comfortable. The house is also equipped with grey water recycling system. Bird Island was designed as part of the YTL Green Homes Competition, which challenged eight international architects and designers to put their greenest ideas in actions.
