Designers Nicholas Karlovasitis & Sarah Gibson of Australian studio DesignByThem have created the Butter chair. The chair is made from 100% recycled milk containers and factory waste. The Butter chair is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
From the designers, “The Butter Chair is created from 100% recycled content that can be recycled again at the end of the products life. The material is derived from 70% post-consumer waste, mainly derived from recycled milk containers and factory waste. The products ability to be sent as a flat piece reduces the environmental impact of the product during distribution and the robustness of the stool and textured surface ensures product longevity. DesignByThem also offers a product stewardship program where it takes back products to be either repaired, reused or recycled.”
