Chair made from Dowels and Elastic by Benjamin Mahler

French designer Benjamin Mahler has created a simple chair using dowels and elastic. From the designer, “This chair is made of several similar modules. They are made by superimposing the dowels in order to obtain greater strength.

The most important work is that of the linkage journals with elastic. This allows to assemble the chair without screws or glue.

A result that combines the purely functional constraint of the chair, and a robust ligature that provides the object appearance is obtained.”
