Amsterdam-based designer Bram Geenen has created the Dyneema Chair. The chair is made out of a super strong fiber called Dyneema®, developed by innovative chemical company DSM. The Dyneema® has the highest strength-to-weight ratio than any other man-made material. Used in aerospace industries, the material is up to 15 times stronger than steel on strength-to-weight basis.
Dyneema is used in the chair where tensile-strength is needed and a knitted fabric is used for comfort. Rigid parts of the chair are made out of a Dyneema-composite with epoxy resin.
