Vienna-based designers Katharina Mischer and Thomas Traxler have created the Framed furniture collection for Kvadrat – Hallingdal Project 65. The designers took several sheets of different colored fabric and clamped them within wooden frames to form simple yet colorful furniture pieces. The fabric is held in position though pressure and friction and serves different purpose in different furniture units, like the backside of a shelf or the upholstery of a bench or a table.
