Mastro is a work table created by Italian studio Gum Design in collaboration with De Castelli. The structure of the table is inspired by the old work tables found in the craftsman’s workshop. The work table is composed of a metal top surface and two firwood trestles. The top surface, made of acid-etched iron sheet, has two slotted rails where the two firwood trestles can contained to minimize the footprint of the furniture unit when not in use. When required, you can easily slid out the legs, rotate 90 degrees and place them horizontally inside the top surface to create the work table. The work table will be on display during the Milan Furniture Fair 2012.
