Swedish designer Lukas Dahlén has presented his latest creation the Weave Cupboard at the Fiera Milano RHO, Salone Satellite during Milan Furniture Fair 2012. The design of the cupboard is inspired by the most common kind of wood and weed weaving technique. It represents “an enlarged version of the technique of weaving something soft around a more stable structure.” The top and bottom plane of the cupboard is held together by sticks kept together like a Windsor chair. Four of these sticks continue down to become legs and two are used as hinges. The Weave Cupboard is made from ash wood and ash veneer.
