Nest Chair is a simple furniture design inspired by bird’s nest. Designed by Copenhagen based designer Nina Bruun, the chair has a simple supporting structure consists of a bottom, seat and four stabilizing legs. The designer used birch wood strips in different thicknesses and hurled them around a supporting structure to create a nest feeling. Dusty chocolate brown color is used for upholstery cushion which plays beautifully with pale birch wood.
In designer’s words, “It was natural for me that the chair had a soft center to create references to the bird’s nest, that are typically lined with down, to form a confident frame for eggs and chicks.” Check out the pictures below.
