London-based design studio not tom has designed the Pixel Bench for Sky Creations. In designer’s words, “An affordable bench seating system designed for contract furniture manufacturer Sky Creations based around the module of an LCD pixel. The upholstered bench is designed primarily for use in reception and breakout areas but the configurations possible with it make it suitable for a variety of spaces.
The clean upholstered element is supported by steel frame designed to mirror the pixel shape whilst maintaining visual lightness. One of the challenges of this project was to ensure the centre mounted frame was sturdy enough to take weight at the ends of the bench.”
