Inspired by natural crystals the design studio “CTRLZAK” in collaboration with the designer Davide Barzaghi created the armchair “Quartz”, made of simple materials, aluminum, natural foam and wood.
The constructive frame of the chair is made up of interconnected pentagonal and hexagonal structures, filled with sixteen different foam pieces with different shapes.
Quartz is reminiscent of a nest that provides irreplaceable feeling of comfort. Its structure is variable, each cushion can be easily removed from the wooden frame and serve as an additional seat. The soft cushions are covered in environmentally friendly material with a variation of colors, from blue to dark grey tones.
Quartz is practical and decorative element that can completely change the appearance of the interior, while enriching the uniqueness and playfulness. The multi-functionality is another positive side of this design, and the ability to obtain a different look with different combination of cushions.
