Rollie Pollie is a foldable wooden bench that can be rolled-up into a sphere when not using. Designed by Lui Kawasumi, the furniture is very flexible and becomes a sculptural item when rolled-up. In designer’s words, “The idea for this bench came about from the fact than I used to have a soccer ball in my bed. I think that people are naturally drawn to spheres, because spheres suggest security. So I made a folding bench that rolled up into a ball, much like a pill bug does to protect itself.”
