Serie FW is a collection of stools and benches designed and produced by Tommaso Bistacchi in collaboration with Giovanni Pappalardo. Presented at the Milan Furniture Fair 2012, the stools and benches are made of felt and wood. According to the designers, “The simple and geometric wood structure holds the weaving of many soft felt bands. The weaving isn’t only a warm embrace or a formal game: it gives comfort to the seat and can be used to shelve magazines, newspapers or small objects.
The formal rigidity of the wood planks (beech, durmast or larch) is “overbalanced” by the dialogue with a colorfull and materic use of natural felt.”.
