Designers Stefan Tervoort and Pim Snijdoodt of Dutch design studio Oato have created the Stuck Chair. The chair is made of Oak wood and powder coated steel. Following is a description from the designers, “Chair that was created by taking apart all elements of a chair and put them back together as if they were simply stuck together.
Doing so it creates a chair that doesn’t need additional supports, all the element now have a leading and supporting role in the total structure of the chair.
We like the kind of surprise element that is creating due to the fact that people expect the chair to have additional supports, but when they look underneath they won’t find any.”
