The Synapse Cabinet is a sculptural storage unit created by Swedish designer Alexandra Denton. The storage cabinet is made from wood, metal and rope. According to the designer, “Synapse Cabinet is inspired by our grey matter. Divided in two hemispheres, left and right, a clever structure where each part has its fundamental role: shaping forms and connections, storing information and collecting memories.
Every element that lives in our brain influences our unique interpretations of the world, and that is my fascination. What would you store, how and in what order? What don’t you want to store? A physical ritual to the mystery of ourselves.”
