Spanish practice Nook Architects have renovated an old apartment in Barcelona. The architects have removed some of the old internal partitions to create a combined living room and kitchen on the street side of the apartment. The original decorative floor tiles are untouched. A bedroom with a small bathroom is located on the courtyard side. The bedroom and bathroom are separated by a row of suspended steel storage boxes.
