The team from “Stuido O + A” believe that working environments develop naturally through an understanding of the culture and habits of the clients. Their focus is exactly on the identification and understanding of the culture and, then, its interpretation in space.

This vibrant and colorful facility for the employees at Capital One Labs, in San Francisco, is one of their many innovative projects. Banks would be the last place someone can think of when it comes to interiors with exciting colors and playful shapes. However, the space for the team of Capital One Labs is the exception to this rule. The clients asked the architects to create an interior that will reflect the adventurous spirit of the IT team.

Hence the idea of the designers of the “Studio O + A” to select different range of strong, warm colors like yellow, lime green and pink for the stairs, beams, sofas and refrigerator, which are harmoniously integrated and give excellent dynamics in the space. A walk around the premises seems like a journey through a colorful video game and contributes to developing and maintaining a positive and creative atmosphere for the employees. The interior respects the need for cooperation, but also offers small isolated areas where each employee can concentrate on their own thoughts and work.
