“Das Haus – Interiors on Stage” is an installation of living situation based on the very personal ideas of a designer. It takes place at imm cologne every year. Each year a designer is asked to design the house of the future using his own ideas. The 2013 edition of “Das Haus” was designed by Italian designer Luca Nichetto.
Here is a description from the designer, “The edition of 2013 of “Das Haus” saw Luca Nichetto to stage a “Haus” which saw the plants as an integral element of architecture and interior design: located on the external slot, that the structure created, inside the house, take on specific functions that improve the indoor climate. In the form of big plant pools, planted courtyards and integrated terraces, they fill the interior with greenery, allowing its architecture to stage the interplay between indoors and outside.
The color palette that Luca Nichetto has chosen for “Das Haus” combines the natural colors evocative of Scandinavian landscapes with pastel colors typical of the Venetian tradition. The colors also show the spatial connections between the two volumes that intersect, divide the space into nine areas: garden, loggia, studio, relax area, living room, bedroom, library, kitchen, bathroom, Nichetto has carefully chosen specific colors for each area as well as the accurate choice of furniture and accessories has been largely influenced by the colors chosen for the corresponding space.”
