Architect Pietro Arosio has designed the Board compact kitchen for Italian brand Snaidero. The kitchen unit was presented at the Eurocucina during Milan Furniture Fair 2012. Designed for modern compact living, the main part of the kitchen unit is a single cantilevered module. The multifunctional module provides space for all the basic functions of a kitchen such as preparing the food, cooking, eating and washing.
According to the Snaidero, “Board specifically aims to offer an industrial solution to the evolution in the contemporary housing industry, which tends to increasingly propose and build compact environments, shared spaces with freely configured interiors that are bright and open, without any functional constraints and geared towards new levels of environmental quality. Snaidero’s solution reflects a tangible design concept featuring excellent aesthetic and functional solutions, yet tailored to limited space requirements that call for flexible and highly customisable industrial solutions.
The design concept of Board can be summarized with a payoff “Smart kitchen, Smart home”: a profound reflection with the aim at improving the quality of domestic working thought a beautiful and functional project, conceived with a design flexibility capable to fit every space and usage change as changeable is current young living style.”
