“A Brighter Shade” is a unique table lamp inspired by the light, shade and reflection created by the windows. The lamp, designed by Swedish designer Josefin Hellström Olson has a shade similar to window blinds that can be used to adjust the light and shade. In designer’s words, “I wanted to emphasis the positive feeling you get from the daylight and apply the simpleness of blinds that we use to adjust the light and also shut it out. With a combination of modern technology and common blinds, I wanted to honor the natural light and make a little table window for those darker days.”
