Berlin based product designer Fabien Dumas has created the Babel lamp. The suspended lamp was inspired by the biblical story about the Tower of Babel. From the designer, “Babel is literally the proper name for this lamp. Despite its shape inspired by the famous ancient tower it definitely reflects my collaboration with Vertigo Bird. Neither the difference of languages, the distance between us, flicker book alike Skype sessions nor the former jail hotel I stayed at for our first meeting could have stopped us to fulfill our task (goal).This lamp is the conclusion of a common vision as well as the aiming for the highest quality.”
