Designers Maria Stella Aloia and Orietta Ceccato have created the Ciclope reading lamp for Italian design brand ILIDE. According to the producers, “Almost created for fun, Ciclope is an iconic reading lamp with a strongly emotional impact, it is almost a companionable object as well as a simple light source. The cable lamp softly wraps around its body that also holds the eye of the light. With a simple movement Ciclope’s eye can be pulled out to approach it to ourselves or place it in different configurations.
Ciclope’s eye is powered by a high-technology LED capable to assure about 300 lumens of luminous flux, consuming about only 3W.”
