The interior of the business premises of “Brooklyn Decks” is an example of how a little creativity in the design can turn an old and unusable space into a working environment that is fun and stimulating for employees.
The old space was the first floor of an old factory in Brooklyn, New York, with an area of 930 square meters. Its transformation into a modern creative office space is the work of the team from the architectural studio “StudioSC” and studio for interior design and furniture “Roguebuilt”.
The key idea and goal in the design of the interior was to renew and refresh the space of the factory and convert it into a functional and creative workspace. The materials that are used in would be thrown as waste in another case. The old opaque windows of the factory were used as a material for construction of internal walls that gives an intimate area in one part of the space and additional lighting for the meeting area.
The essential elements that define the interior of the offices were made from the remains of OSB panels that the architects shaped and painted in different colors.
Although the space is dominated by rough industrial features of the old factory, concrete floor and exposed installation, the atmosphere in the offices is casual and comfortable.
