House with a strong relationship with nature

Openness to nature and integration of nature into the home for better housing was the main concept of the architects by e.Re studio when designing the house “PRV A131” in Indonesia. Instead of facade, the spacious house has an inside glass balcony doors and windows that open towards the green garden and establish a direct link between the interior and exterior and nature.

The concept of the architects was to add a piece of greenery and a small garden in each room, so all rooms are at the ground level and open to the yard and greenery. Such a setting allows each of the areas to be illuminated by natural sunlight, but also has natural ventilation, which makes the house more energy efficient.

The interior is dominated by furniture made of solid wood, with modern and vintage-pieces, and the wood is used for the windows and balcony doors that open to the yard. A dose of natural note is added with the large library element for the TV in the center of the living room. The rooms are elegant and modern, in order to offer comfortable hedonistic enjoyment. The entire wooden furniture is handcrafted and designed specifically for this space.

An impressive element is the small internal pond surrounded by natural greenery. This corner acts as a relaxing Zen oasis where the family can relax after a long day, connecting with nature.
