New residential complex in Stockholm by Bjarke Ingels

Stockholm makes room for a new creative project by the Danish architect Bjarke Ingels. The architecture Studio “BIG” in cooperation with “Oscar Properties” presented their plans for a new residential complex in the Swedish capital that looks like a long mountain surrounded with spacious greenery.

The complex “79 & Park” looks like a combination of stepped buildings with spacious open balconies and has 140 apartments. Thanks to the large balconies, each of the apartments will have an open, relaxing view of the natural landscape and gardens around the building. The building itself has been designed specifically to fit naturally into the most prominent green space in Stockholm, the Royal National City park.

For this purpose, the roofs of the complex will be covered with greenery and plants. The idea is to make the complex seem like a natural green area of the park.

The object will be comprised of four rectangular objects placed in the form of a cube, with a common green space in the center.

The ground floor will house commercial spaces open to the public so everyone could be able to take advantage of the amazing architecture.
