Interior that blends traditional Indian features and modern style

India, the country that strongly holds to its tradition, lately turned to contemporary art and architecture, and one such example is the private house Prasanna Nairs, located in Bangalore.

The architectural studio Kham Design that worked on the design of the house combined modern architectural features and traditional handicrafts for the identity of the interior. Hence the house has a distinctive identity marked by Indian crafting skills, such as the hand crafted bamboo furniture and modern design elements such as the oxide floors.

The house is divided into three levels, which are connected through visual creations. The ground floor includes two gardens and a social area for parties and gatherings, which is also a home theater. At the heart of the house there is a central garden, which rises to the third floor and absorbs sunlight which creates a magical play of light and shadows that move throughout the house and enrich the interior.Interior that blends traditional Indian features and modern style1 Interior that blends traditional Indian features and modern style2 Interior that blends traditional Indian features and modern style3 Interior that blends traditional Indian features and modern style4 Interior that blends traditional Indian features and modern style5 Interior that blends traditional Indian features and modern style6 Interior that blends traditional Indian features and modern style7(Photo Credits: www.khamdesign.com)
