Spanish architectural studio Ábaton has transformed an old stone barn into a family home by completely renovating it in a way that would be consistent and respectful with the environment. This converted stone barn is located in the Spanish province Cáceres. The 1056 square foot home has a large living room and kitchen in the central space. Other private spaces like bedrooms are built around the living area.
During summer, the energy is obtained from the solar panels and during winter, the hydro turbines installed in the nearby water streams provide energy.
