Bookstore Taschen in Milan is love at first glance for the passionate fans of artworks of the German publishing house and the lovers of modern design.
The design for the bookstore – treasury of world ideas, art and history from different eras, was designed by renowned designer Marc Newson and the design studio for commercial interiors Alu.
Even at its doorstep, the Milanese bookstore awakens the interest of passers-by with spacious glass showcases on which the colorful covers of the art collections and editions are placed. The bookstore extends on two floors with a total area of 120 square meters, designed and arranged with black metal display shelves and display cabinets with yellow accents.
The space covered with minimalist black shelves is refreshed with colorful floor surfaces of Venetian terrazzo with floral motifs in bright green, blue and yellow shades that are the work of Jonas Wood, as well as with the colorful by designer Salvatore Litsitra and the chandeliers by Joe Ponty.
