Marsala has been chosen as Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2015. This earthy red tone took its name from an Italian fortified wine. Use this sophisticated color in your home to provide warmth and comfort.
Use this color in smaller or greater amounts depending on the size of the rooms and your taste. It’s a great idea to use this inviting tone for your cushions, rugs, curtains and upholstered furniture.
But you should also be careful not to overuse it since it is a strong tone. Marsala works well in traditional spaces when paired with yellow, beige, black, grey and white.
Because it is such a versatile color, you can achieve different atmosphere in the home depending on your taste: from gothic to modern and playful. Here are some good ideas to inspire you!
