New York architectural studio Messana O’Rorke designed and renovated an apartment with a dramatic mix of black and gray shades inspired by the style of renowned fashion designers Tom Ford and Roy Halston.

The New York apartment that dates from the 1960s got a brand new glamorous interior in dark tones with a special selection of works of art.

In all areas of the apartment you can feel the sophisticated artistic spirit of Ford and Halston. The combination of their timeless style and modern architectural style is applied seamlessly in the space. Namely, the apartment was designed for a passionate lover of the unique design features by Ford and Halston as well as modern design. The architectural team from Messana O’Rorke created a new organization of space with idea to create a more pleasant interior with a new open plan.

By removing part of the original wall surfaces that closed the entire space and created an uncomfortable indoor environment, the architects opened the apartment giving it freedom and fluidity. For the wall surfaces they chose sophisticated dark gray shades that go hand in hand with the floor surfaces made of planks from an old oak fence as well as the black lacquered sideboards which reflect the city lights and views.
